Many of us do not find all the answers. Probably most of us are not even pre-programmed to get to all the answers, but making most of the process of soul-searching at certain point of life is an important threshold. Finding internal and external balance seems a much better solution than nowadays popular "mid-life crisis" solutions: new spouse, new work, new business, new car etc... While short term effective, they may come back as even tougher, louder "who am I" in the future...
Famous question of our ex-presidednt "who am I?" (only the context was not the best one) is probably the toughest question to answer after one reaches age of 35. According to C.G.Jung our lives are divided into 2 parts. Active preparation for life (from birth till 35-45), learning all skills and adapting for outside environment. And then comes the time, when one shall actually look for his core, understanding himself internally, so that the balance of inner and outer worlds is reached. Meditation comes handy as a tool to step on the road of answering the question "who am I?". And as teachers of meditation say, not always all answers that you get in meditation are pleasant. You meet your own soul with all passions, weaknesses, fears that are accumulated and pedigreed. Yet, meditation is a powerful way to learn about your deepest self. Are you really loving someone, or just satisfying your own needs and passions? Do you have solid spiritual foundation for your life, or you are just fully immersed into material world... Are you making choices daily that are in line with your values, or you are just automatically responding to different stimulus.
